Overview
A hiker or geocacher with a Garmin handheld GPS gets a microSDHC card the seller lists as working with that unit, adding room for maps and saved tracks. It also fits phones that take microSD cards.
Extra map storage for a handheld GPS is the use case, and the capacity covers several regions of topo maps. The seller lists no warranty, and no adapter is mentioned.
Who it's for
Outdoor users loading maps onto a Garmin handheld will find the size enough. Buyers who want warranty coverage should buy a retail-packaged card.
Pros and cons
- Fits microSD slots in GPS units and phones
- Class 10 speed rating
- Water proof listed
- No warranty from the seller
- Two different speed figures listed
- No adapter listed
Performance notes
Map loading and track logging need little speed, so the card's class rating is more than enough for a GPS. Large file copies from a computer depend on the reader and the card's real read speed.
