Overview
The Leatherman 70101003 is a compact folding knife that closes to about 3.25 x 1 x 1 inches and weighs just under 5 ounces. It ships as a single piece with no sheath or bit kit included, built for pocket or belt carry rather than heavy-duty cutting.
Leatherman built its name on multi-tools, so a standalone knife from the brand leans on the same attention to hinge and lock fit rather than blade size. At this weight and footprint it reads as an everyday carry piece, not a hunting or survival blade.
- Closed length about 3.25 x 1 x 1 inches
- Weighs 4.96 ounces
- Single-piece folding knife
Who it's for
Suits someone who wants a small, pocketable folder for daily tasks like opening boxes or cutting cord. Anyone needing a longer blade or a fixed-blade knife for outdoor use should look elsewhere in the catalog.
Pros and cons
- Compact closed length near 3.25 inches
- Light enough for daily pocket carry at under 5 ounces
- From a tool brand with a long EDC track record
- Ships as a single piece with no sheath or case
- Small size limits it to light-duty cutting tasks
Performance notes
At under 5 ounces and roughly 3.25 inches closed, the knife is built for quick, light cutting tasks rather than prying or heavy use. The compact closed length keeps it low profile in a pocket or on a belt clip.
