Overview
Each side of this Bionaire twin window fan can reverse, so it can bring in cool air, vent hot air or do both at once. An accordion extender panel and a second extender adapt it to the window, and no assembly is required.
Remote operation and a programmable thermostat are the reasons to consider it: choose a room temperature and the fans cycle themselves to hold it, all from across the room. Limits are the window type and width range, and the plastic construction.
Who it's for
Living rooms, kitchens and kids rooms with a vertical slider or double hung window where cool outdoor air is available in the evening. Owners of casement windows, or anyone needing a very wide opening, should check the width range first.
Pros and cons
- Remote control and push buttons
- Programmable thermostat with LED display
- Each side reverses independently
- Accordion extender panel included
- Casement windows not listed
- Fits only the listed width range
- Plastic body and blades
Performance notes
Each side has its own blade set that reverses independently, so the unit can bring in outside air, exhaust inside air or exchange both at once. The programmable thermostat turns the fan on and off to maintain the selected temperature, and the three speeds set how much air moves.
