Overview
A 4-piece, 7'6 fiberglass travel rod from Eagle Claw with aluminum oxide guides, a cork and rubber foregrip, and a bronze reel seat. Ships with a travel case and a one year warranty.
Built on an IM-7 composite glass blank, this rod folds down to four sections for travel, trunk, or carry-on use. The Pack-It Spin-Fly naming and category listing under fly fishing rods point to a rod meant to handle spin or fly setups, though the data does not specify a line or reel weight rating.
- 4-piece, 7'6 fiberglass travel rod
- Aluminum oxide guides
- Cork and rubber foregrip, bronze reel seat
- Includes travel case, one year warranty
Who it's for
Fits anglers who want a packable backup or travel rod that breaks down small for flights, road trips, or hikes. Not the choice for anglers who want a single-piece rod for maximum sensitivity or long-distance casting.
Pros and cons
- Breaks down to 4 pieces for travel
- Includes a carrying case
- Backed by a one year warranty
- Spec sheet doesn't list a line or reel weight rating
Performance notes
The blank uses Eagle Claw's IM-7 composite glass construction paired with aluminum oxide guides, aimed at holding up to travel and general outdoor use. The cork and rubber foregrip and bronze reel seat are standard touches for a mid-range travel rod rather than premium components.
