Overview
Reaching farther across the kit is what the Vater Power stick adds, with a familiar grip on a slightly longer hickory shaft. The extra length moves weight forward for more power, and the tips are wood.
Players get a familiar grip with added reach and a heavier stroke. The listing does not describe tip shape or taper, so feel is hard to judge before buying.
Who it's for
Rock and pop drummers with large setups get extra reach without a thicker grip. Players who need a light, short stick for quiet rooms should stay with a standard size.
Pros and cons
- Standard 5A grip diameter
- Extra length adds reach
- Forward weight for louder strokes
- Hickory shaft absorbs shock
- Tip shape not listed
- Short limited warranty
Performance notes
Extra length shifts the balance point forward, so each stroke carries more weight into the head. Hickory flexes to soften the shock, while the familiar diameter leaves the grip unchanged.
