Overview
A bathroom counter or a travel bag both suit the Wahl Groomsman, which runs on AA batteries with no cord. A six-position guard and stubble combs set the length for beards, mustaches and light body grooming.
Cordless use without charging, plus many trim lengths, makes it simple to grab and use anywhere. Some spec fields mention a charger and rechargeable battery, which conflicts with the AA bullets, so check the box.
Who it's for
Daily stubble, short beard and mustache trims, plus light body grooming. Men with long, full beards need longer guards.
Pros and cons
- Cordless, no charging
- Many guard lengths
- Two year warranty
- Batteries not included
- Spec fields conflict on power
Performance notes
Cutting comes from a fast motor driving precision-ground blades, which is why it cuts cleanly but hums loudly. Guards set the length, so even passes against the grain give an even trim. Oiling the blades after every few uses preserves sharpness.
