Overview
A kids craft table covers all the basics with this Perler Pet Parade kit. Beads in assorted colors go onto five pegboards shaped for animals, and tweezers help place them. Eyes, patterns and ironing paper finish the set.
Variety is the strength of this kit: many beads, several boards and extra pieces such as eyes allow a whole pet parade. The listing does not mention an iron, which fusing requires, and warranty is stated as none.
Who it's for
Kids who enjoy animals, along with a parent for the fusing step, will find themed boards and finishing pieces ready to use. Crafters wanting a particular color palette or bulk refills should buy beads by the color instead.
Pros and cons
- Five reusable pegboards
- Eyes, tweezers and ironing paper included
- Many pet designs possible
- Iron not listed
- Color mix is assorted
- Bead count per color not listed
Performance notes
Beads placed on a pegboard melt together slightly under heat, locking the shape into a flat piece. Tweezers make placement easier on small boards, and the ironing paper protects the beads from direct contact. A steady hand while pressing gives a flatter finish.
