Overview
Walker makes this SoundFX muffler as a direct-fit replacement for the Jeep Cherokee in the title. The body is aluminized steel, with mechanical interior joints and spun-locked heads holding it together.
Walker pitches the aluminized steel as longer lasting than low-carbon steel, with favorable acoustics and a clean look. The listing has errors, since the item type reads hose and the weight is given in ounces, and it names no Cherokee years.
Who it's for
A Cherokee owner replacing a rusted-out muffler can use the matching inlet size to confirm the swap. Anyone who needs written warranty cover, or whose Cherokee year is unclear, should ask the seller before buying.
Pros and cons
- Aluminized steel construction
- Interior joints and spun-locked heads
- Oval body shape
- Cherokee years not listed
- Spec table says no warranty
- Item type reads hose
- Weight listed in ounces only
Performance notes
Aluminized steel resists rust longer than plain low-carbon steel, and the mechanical joints and spun-locked heads help the shell stay sealed. The listing offers no sound level data, so the tone is described only as favorable.
