Overview
The Flambeau 4007 is a single clear plastic tackle box measuring 11 by 7.25 by 1.75 inches and listed as moistureproof. It suits anglers who want a larger, see-through box for organizing lures and tackle with some protection against water intrusion.
Compared with the smaller 3003 box in the same brand's range, the 4007 offers more length and depth, better suited to larger lures or a bigger overall tackle collection. The moistureproof claim points to a sealing gasket or tight-fitting lid rather than full waterproofing, though the listing does not specify the exact sealing method. Clear plastic construction again allows contents to be checked without opening the box.
- 11 x 7.25 x 1.75 inch clear tackle box
- Plastic construction
- 0.32 pound weight
- Moistureproof design
Who it's for
Anglers who want a larger clear tackle box with some moisture protection for lures and gear stored between trips. Less suited to anyone who needs a fully submersible, waterproof case.
Pros and cons
- Larger interior than compact storage boxes
- Clear plastic for visible contents
- Moistureproof is not the same as fully waterproof
- Sold as a single box, not a multi-tray system
Performance notes
Moistureproof construction typically means a tight seal that keeps out incidental water and humidity rather than full submersion protection, so treat it as splash and damp resistant rather than waterproof. The larger footprint versus a compact box gives more room for bigger lures or a wider tackle assortment.
