Overview
This is Life Extension's L-Glutamine, a 500 mg amino acid capsule supplement, not a pet product despite how it's filed here. It's a vegetarian capsule formula sold in 100-count bottles.
The category label on this listing reads Pet Supplies, but the brand, dosage form and Amazon ranking (Health & Household, L-Glutamine Nutritional Supplements) all point to a human dietary supplement rather than anything formulated for animals. Treat the pet supplies category tag as a listing error and shop it as what the title and specs describe.
- 500 mg L-glutamine per capsule
- 100 vegetarian capsules per bottle
- Gluten free, non-GMO
- Made by Life Extension
Who it's for
Adults looking for an L-glutamine amino acid supplement to support muscle mass, energy under physical stress, or gut and immune health. Not an animal product despite its placement in a pet supplies search.
Pros and cons
- Vegetarian capsule form
- Gluten free and non-GMO
- 100 capsules per bottle, roughly a month's supply at typical single daily dosing
- Listed under Pet Supplies despite being a human supplement, easy to order by mistake
- No pet dosing information provided since it isn't formulated for animals
Performance notes
L-glutamine is an amino acid the body draws on more heavily during physical stress, and supplementing it is commonly aimed at supporting muscle recovery and gut lining integrity rather than producing an immediate, noticeable effect.
