- About 5.58 lb
- Celestron brand, model 21063
Who it's for
Newcomers to astronomy wanting a 90mm refractor to view the moon, planets and brighter deep sky objects, rather than experienced observers seeking a larger aperture reflector.
Pros and cons
- 90mm aperture suits moon and planet viewing
- Manual focus keeps the design simple
- Smaller aperture limits deep-sky detail
Performance notes
A 90mm objective lens gathers enough light to resolve lunar craters, Saturn's rings and Jupiter's larger moons under reasonably dark skies, though fainter deep sky objects will stay dim compared to larger apertures. Manual focus requires turning a knob to dial in sharpness rather than relying on any motorized adjustment.
