Overview
Not a vanity cabinet sink, the Memoirs Stately pairs a rectangular fireclay basin with a separate pedestal base. The basin is drilled for a faucet on wide centers and has a built-in overflow, styled after traditional furniture lines.
Kohler drew this sink from antique furniture, with clean edges and a polished white face that coordinates with the rest of the Memoirs collection. There is no storage below the bowl, and the listing does not name a faucet, drain or wall hanger among the parts.
Who it's for
Owners redoing a period-style bath with other Memoirs pieces will find the lines match. People short on floor space or needing drawer storage should look at a wall-hung basin or a vanity instead.
Pros and cons
- Drilled for a two-handle faucet layout
- Built-in overflow drain
- Matches other Memoirs collection pieces
- Rectangular basin with crisp traditional lines
- No storage below the basin
- Faucet and drain hardware not listed
- Listed weight is implausible for a fireclay sink
- Title and parts list disagree on width
Performance notes
Faucet fit is set by the drilling: the basin takes a faucet on wide centers, so a single-hole model will not line up with the holes. The overflow channel near the rim drains water before it can spill over. How the basin fastens to the wall is not described, so confirm the mounting method with the installer.
