Overview
A CV axle repair is the setting for this pack of UNI-FIT boots from Specialty Products Company. The listing is sparse, giving only the pack count, the part number and the shipping weight.
The attraction is a dozen boots in one box for a shop that handles repeat axle repairs. The listing never states boot size, material, fit range or what else ships in the box.
Who it's for
A shop doing repeat axle work can use the pack to stock a common boot. A single repair is better served by a part listed for the exact vehicle, because this listing gives no fit information.
Pros and cons
- Twelve boots in one pack
- Clear part number
- Weight listed for shipping planning
- Boot size not listed
- Material not listed
- Vehicle fit not named
- Clamps and grease not mentioned
Performance notes
A CV boot holds grease around the joint and blocks dirt, so a torn boot is the usual reason for replacement. The listing gives no size, material or fit data, so how well these suit a given axle cannot be judged.
