Overview
A 5 ounce container of Berkley's Gulp Catfish Dough attractant in the Bloody Blood scent, meant to be packed onto a hook rather than cast as a hardbait.
Dough-style baits work through scent dispersal in the water rather than a visual profile, so they get packed or molded onto a hook or treble instead of retrieved like a lure. The Bloody Blood variant targets catfish specifically within Berkley's dough line.
- 5 ounce container
- Gulp Catfish Dough formula
- Bloody Blood scent
- Single-count packaging
Who it's for
Catfish anglers who fish dough or dip bait rigs and want the Bloody Blood scent option. Not what you want if you're after a hardbait or a lure-style presentation.
Pros and cons
- 5 ounce size fits a couple of outings
- Bloody Blood scent targets catfish specifically
- Established Gulp catfish dough formula
- Rating sits just under 4.0
- Single scent and size option here
Performance notes
Scent dispersal, not visual triggers, is what draws catfish to a dough bait, so results lean on water temperature and current carrying the smell rather than any retrieve action. The 5 ounce size is a single-session to two-session quantity depending on how much gets packed per hook.
