Overview
The Klein 23008 is a steel cutter with a cushioned plastic and rubber grip, weighing 6.6 ounces.
Klein Tools is a long standing name in electrical and trade tools, and the alloy steel construction here points to a cutter meant for repeated shop or jobsite use rather than light hobby tasks. The multi material handle, combining plastic, rubber, and steel, suggests a layered grip built for comfort and control during extended use.
- Alloy steel build
- Plastic, rubber, and steel handle
- 6.6 ounce weight
Who it's for
Fits tradespeople and DIYers who want a durable single piece cutter for regular use. Less relevant if you need a set or a specialty jaw profile, since only one piece ships.
Pros and cons
- Alloy steel construction
- Cushioned multi material handle
- Ships as a single piece, not a set
- No stated cutting capacity
Performance notes
Alloy steel construction generally holds an edge and resists wear better than softer metals, and the layered plastic, rubber, and steel handle is a common approach to combining grip comfort with structural strength. At 6.6 ounces it sits in the middle weight range for a handheld cutter, heavier than a precision tool but still comfortable for one handed use.
