Overview
At 6 gallons and about 30 inches tall, Berkey's CRN8X2-BB scales up the brand's gravity-fed design into a larger stainless steel system fitted with two Black Berkey filter elements for higher-volume countertop use.
Sized at roughly 11 by 11 by 30 inches, this is built for a bigger household or heavier daily draw than Berkey's smaller stainless units, while still working on the same gravity-fed principle without electricity or plumbing.
- 6 gallon capacity
- Countertop gravity install
- Stainless steel
- Two Black Berkey filter elements
Who it's for
Fits larger households or groups wanting a high-capacity gravity filter that keeps working through power or water outages, with counter or floor space for a 30-inch-tall unit.
Pros and cons
- 6-gallon capacity for larger households
- Works without electricity or plumbing
- Stainless steel construction
- 30-inch height needs significant clearance
- Countertop or floor space commitment larger than smaller Berkey models
Performance notes
Two Black Berkey elements filter water by gravity from the upper chamber into the 6-gallon lower reservoir, the same no-power, no-plumbing method used across Berkey's stainless lineup, scaled up for volume.
