Overview
The Case 00980 is a leather sheath sized about 5 inches long, 1.88 inches wide and 1.13 inches high, weighing under 2 ounces. It is built to hold a folding knife on a belt rather than to serve as a knife itself.
Case is a long-running American knife maker, and this listing is specifically the sheath rather than a blade, so buyers should check their knife's dimensions against the sheath's roughly 5-inch pocket before ordering.
- Leather belt sheath, not a knife
- About 5 in L x 1.88 in W x 1.13 in H
- Weighs 0.09 pounds
Who it's for
Fits someone who already owns a Case folding knife, or a similarly sized folder, and wants belt carry rather than a pocket clip. It will not suit anyone shopping for the knife itself.
Pros and cons
- Compact belt sheath under 2 ounces
- From an established knife maker
- Sized for small to mid-size folders
- Does not include a knife
- Fit depends on matching the roughly 5-inch pocket to your blade
Performance notes
At roughly 5 inches long and about 1.9 inches wide, the sheath is sized for a small to mid-size folding knife rather than a large fixed blade. Its light weight, under 2 ounces, keeps it unobtrusive on a belt.
