Overview
The Ridgid 40617 is a small cutter with a mostly plastic build, measuring 3.25 by 2 by 1 inches and weighing 7.8 ounces.
Ridgid's tool lineup runs from large pipe cutters to compact accessories, and this model's small footprint and plastic construction put it firmly in the lightweight, portable category rather than heavy pipe or conduit cutting gear. The listing doesn't specify what material it's designed to cut, so matching it to a specific job means checking the product page for that detail.

The plastic-heavy build and 7.8 ounce weight keep this portable and easy to store, though it trades off the durability of an all-metal cutter for lighter jobs.
