Overview
Loosening soil without bending is the job of this Truper cultivator, which has a forged four-tine head on a long wooden handle. It is a manual tool with no moving parts.
A long handle spares the back, and the forged head is described as tough. Details such as tine length and a warranty are missing from the listing.
Who it's for
Weeding and loosening in beds and rows suit a four-tine head. Gardeners breaking new ground over a large area need a heavier tool or a powered tiller.
Pros and cons
- Forged four-tine head
- Long wood handle for standing work
- Light for its length
- Manual, no fuel or power
- Tine length not listed
- Warranty terms not stated
- Wood handle needs weather care
Performance notes
Forged tines pull through the top layer of soil as the user draws the handle back, breaking crust and uprooting small weeds. A long handle sets the working radius, and the light weight allows many passes before fatigue.
