Overview
Nylon strings on this Music Alley guitar press down with little force, so small fingers can form first chords without pain. A light basswood body carries a classical tone, and note stickers on the neck help a child find each position.
Soft strings and a small body make early practice comfortable for young kids, and the bag and lessons cover the first months. A plastic neck and basswood top limit tone and longevity as skills grow.
Who it's for
Young children in school music programs or home lessons get a small, light guitar with learning aids. Older kids and adults will find it too small to play comfortably.
Pros and cons
- Nylon strings easy on fingers
- Light for small children
- Note stickers for learning
- Two year warranty
- Basswood limits tone
- Tuner not included
Performance notes
Nylon strings run at lower tension than steel, so pressing them takes less force and hurts less. A basswood body gives a mellow but modest volume. Note stickers mark positions on the neck, which speeds early chord learning.
