Overview
The NuMax SP123 is an air powered nailer weighing 2.2 pounds with no battery required. It runs off a compressor and hose, trading cordless convenience for a lighter, motor-free body.
That combination points to a tool meant for extended, hose-tethered use rather than grab-and-go cordless work.
- Air powered, no battery needed
- 2.2 lb weight
- NuMax brand
Who it's for
Suits users who already have compressor access and want a light nailer for extended trim or finish style sessions. Not a fit for job sites running cordless-only, since it needs a hose and air supply.
Pros and cons
- 2.2 lb body reduces arm fatigue
- No battery to charge or replace
- NuMax brand in the air tool category
- Requires a compressor and air hose
- Not usable on cordless-only job sites
Performance notes
At 2.2 pounds it stays light enough for overhead or one-handed work, and running on air rather than battery means no charge cycles to plan around. The tradeoff is dependency on a compressor and hose, which limits where and how it can be used.
