Overview
The Maxima MOSS 25 is a 25 lb monofilament fishing line, sold as a 250 yard One Shot spool in Maxima's green tinted Ultragreen line.
This listing files the product under a fluorocarbon line category, but the underlying spec data (technique: monofilament) and the product's own special field, which names it Maxima Ultragreen One Shot Spool 25lb 250yds, both point to monofilament rather than fluorocarbon. Ultragreen is one of Maxima's long standing mono lines, so buyers should treat the fluorocarbon label on this listing with caution and expect a green tinted monofilament spool.
- 25 lb monofilament line, 250 yard spool
- 3.2 ounce spool weight
- Green colored, sold as a One Shot Spool
Who it's for
Fits anglers looking for a 25 lb monofilament line on a 250 yard spool, particularly those already familiar with Maxima's Ultragreen line. Not the choice for anyone specifically shopping for true fluorocarbon, since the spec data here points to monofilament instead.
Pros and cons
- 250 yard spool at 25 lb test suits a range of medium tackle reels
- Green tint aims to blend into water for a stealthier line
- Established Maxima Ultragreen product line
- Listing category says fluorocarbon while spec data says monofilament, so confirm before buying if line type matters to you
- No stated diameter for comparing stretch or visibility against other 25 lb lines
Performance notes
Monofilament lines like Ultragreen offer stretch that cushions hooksets and fish fights, along with a tinted color meant to blend into water, rather than the low visibility, abrasion resistant profile associated with true fluorocarbon. At 3.2 ounces for the spool and 25 lb test over 250 yards, it is sized for medium tackle setups.
