Overview
The Gotcha G300GH is a metal casting plug sold as a three pack, finished in gold. It is a lightweight, slim bodied lure built for casting distance rather than trolling.
Gotcha plugs are a long running style of saltwater jigging lure known for a slim metal body and darting action on a jig retrieve. This gold three pack lets an angler restock or add a color option without buying single lures one at a time, useful for a lure style that regularly gets lost to structure or toothy fish.
- Metal construction
- Gold finish
- Three pack
- Compact casting plug design
Who it's for
Surf and jetty anglers targeting species that chase flashy metal lures will find this a straightforward restock. It suits anglers already fishing the Gotcha style, less so someone wanting a single lure to try the style for the first time.
Pros and cons
- Three pack keeps cost per lure down
- Metal body casts far for its size
- Gold finish adds flash in the water
- Single color and size, no variety in the pack
- Light per unit weight limits distance in wind
Performance notes
As a slim metal casting plug, the Gotcha style is worked with a jigging retrieve, its weight giving long casting distance and an erratic, darting action through the water column rather than a steady swimming motion.
