Overview
A handheld fish scale rated to 30 lb capacity, built with a plastic housing and weighing about 270 grams, sized for weighing catches boatside or on the dock.
Boga scales are associated with lip-grip style fish weighing, giving a quick one-hand reading without a net or hanging scale. This 130 model tops out at 30 lb, which covers most inshore and freshwater catches but not larger offshore species.
- 30 lb capacity
- Plastic housing
- About 270 grams
- Single unit
Who it's for
Anglers who want a fast weight check on the boat or dock for catches under 30 lb, not those regularly landing fish above that capacity.
Pros and cons
- 30 lb weighing capacity
- Lightweight plastic housing at about 270 grams
- Compact enough for a boat bag
- Plastic build may be less durable than metal scales under heavy repeated use
- 30 lb ceiling limits it to smaller to mid-size catches
Performance notes
The plastic housing keeps overall weight down to roughly 270 grams, easy to stow in a boat bag, though a plastic body is generally less rugged under repeated hard use than a metal one.
