Overview
On a humidor shelf or any tabletop, the Xikar PuroTemp reads temperature and relative humidity on a compact rectangular digital display. It rests on a surface rather than mounting to a wall or lid, so placement is flexible.
A compact rectangle that shows both readings in one place is the whole job here, and the black case suits a cigar cabinet or a desk. The listing gives a temperature ceiling and an accuracy figure but no humidity range, so check how closely you need to monitor.
Who it's for
Cigar smokers and storage hobbyists who check a humidor often and want a simple digital readout. Anyone needing a humidifier or a wall-mounted display should buy something else.
Pros and cons
- Digital temperature and humidity in one unit
- Compact rectangular body
- Tabletop placement, no mounting needed
- Temperature accuracy figure given
- Reads humidity but cannot adjust it
- Humidity accuracy and range not listed
- Tabletop only, no wall mount
Performance notes
A sensor measures temperature and humidity in the air around the unit and shows both on the display, so placement near the stored items matters more than the screen. Readings reflect the air at the sensor, not the contents, and the unit does nothing to change them. The listing gives an upper temperature limit and an accuracy figure for temperature only.
