Overview
The phil&teds LB_V1_55_200_USA is a portable high chair built on an aluminum frame, weighing 3.8 pounds and folding to about 13 by 14 by 14 inches. It is rated to a 37 pound child weight limit.
At under 4 pounds this sits closer to a fold-flat travel high chair than a full kitchen high chair, which fits phil&teds' reputation for compact baby gear built for travel. The aluminum frame is what keeps the weight this low while still holding a listed 37 pounds of child weight.
- Aluminum frame construction
- 3.8 lb chair weight
- 13 in D x 14 in W x 14 in H folded
- 37 lb weight capacity
Who it's for
Parents who want a high chair that folds small enough for a suitcase, car trunk or grandparents' house are the target buyer. Anyone wanting a full-size chair with a large tray, recline and storage basket for daily kitchen use should look at a bigger model.
Pros and cons
- Aluminum frame weighs under 4 lb
- Folds to a compact 13 x 14 x 14 in
- Portable design for travel
- 37 lb capacity is on the lower side
- No tray or recline detail listed
Performance notes
The aluminum frame is central to the low 3.8 pound weight, and the 13 by 14 by 14 inch folded size is what makes it portable. The 37 pound capacity is on the lower end for high chairs, so this reads as an early to toddler stage chair rather than one built to carry an older child.
