Overview
Not a tumbler or a bin, Compost Swift is a natural starter and accelerator meant to get composting going and speed it along. The listing calls it non-toxic and safe for families, pets and the planet.
A starter and accelerator is a small add-on for a compost pile or bin, and the safe-around-pets wording suits a yard with animals. The listing gives no application rate or coverage, so the amount per load of waste has to come from the package.
Who it's for
Gardeners with a working compost pile who want a natural additive marked safe around pets and family. Buyers expecting a container to compost in should look at an actual tumbler or bin.
Pros and cons
- Natural and non-toxic formula
- Safe for families and pets
- Starter and accelerator in one product
- Compact single container
- Not a bin or tumbler
- Dosage and coverage not listed
- Form of the product is unclear
Performance notes
A starter and accelerator is meant to get decomposition going and speed it up, but the pile still depends on moisture, air and the mix of waste going in. The listing gives no application rate, timeline or ingredient list, so results depend on following the package.
