Overview
Not a spray or a candle, this is a plug-in electric grid that zaps mosquitoes, flies and moths as they fly into it. An octenol lure draws insects in, and a protective casing surrounds the grid.
A weather-resistant body and quiet operation suit a patio or deck evening. The limitation is the coverage claim, since the title names a large area while the description gives a smaller attracting radius.
Who it's for
Homeowners who want a plug-in device for decks, patios and yards, with a casing meant to guard children and pets from the grid. Anyone wanting a battery or solar unit, or a precise coverage range, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Protective outer casing
- Octenol lure named
- Quiet operation per the listing
- Two coverage claims differ
- Box contents not itemized
- Needs a nearby outlet
- Bulb details not listed
Performance notes
Insects are drawn toward the unit by light and the lure, then contact the charged grid and are killed. A real coverage area depends on wind, nearby light sources and how close the unit hangs to where people gather. A casing around the grid blocks accidental contact.
