Overview
A leak tested core with tubes that carry hot coolant is what restores cabin heat in these Dodge and Jeep models. Spectra Premium shapes it to sit in the original heater casing, so the dash housing is reused.
Cross checking the two OEM numbers on your old core is the safest way to confirm fit. The listing names the vehicles but not the years, which leaves some guesswork on older and newer generations.
Who it's for
Shops and owners repairing a no-heat complaint on the named Ram and Grand Cherokee can order it against the OEM number. Buyers who only know the vehicle name, with no year, should verify before buying.
Pros and cons
- Two OEM numbers listed for cross checking
- Leak tested before shipping
- Designed for the factory casing
- Light enough for dash work
- Model years not listed
- Hoses and seals not mentioned
Performance notes
The core works as a small radiator behind the dash, so clean, sealed tubes decide how hot the air gets. Fit against the factory casing matters because air that bypasses the core reduces output.
