Overview
The Genesis Original is a single-cam compound bow with a 15 to 30 inch draw length and a 10 to 20 pound draw weight, both adjustable without a bow press. The riser is 6061-T6 aluminum and the bow ships pre-assembled at roughly 3.5 pounds. This listing is the right-hand version.
Its draw range spans small children through full-grown adults, which is why school archery programs and Scout troops lean on it as a shared bow rather than buying one sized to each student. The tradeoff is a solid aluminum riser that at least one reviewer found too heavy for a small child to hold steady. Left-hand and color variants exist as separate listings.
- 15 to 30 inch adjustable draw length
- 10 to 20 lb adjustable draw weight
- 6061-T6 aluminum riser, about 3.5 lb
- Single cam, composite limbs
Who it's for
Suits families, school archery clubs, and Scout troops that need one bow several people of different sizes and strengths can shoot. Not the pick for a single very small child, or for a dedicated adult who wants a bow sized to them alone.
Pros and cons
- Draw length and weight adjust without a bow press
- One bow works for kids through adults
- Single cam keeps tuning straightforward
- Ships pre-assembled and ready to shoot
- Solid aluminum riser is heavy for a small child
- This listing is right-hand only
Performance notes
The single cam keeps tuning simple and recoil low, and both draw length and weight can be dialed up or down as the shooter grows, without swapping limbs or paying a shop to press the bow. Composite limbs and high-strength strings are built for repeated flexing across a season rather than a single outing.
