Overview
Traditions' A1171 is a 3-9x40 rifle scope package that includes medium rings and a two-piece base, sized for mounting on Traditions muzzleloaders like the Buckstalker and Pursuit LT. Multi-coated lenses, nitrogen filling and 3 inches of eye relief round out the build.
- 3-9x40 magnification range
- Includes medium rings and two-piece base
- Multi-coated lenses for low-light use
- Nitrogen filled, waterproof and fogproof
Who it's for
Owners of a Traditions Pursuit LT should expect to trim the base screws before it seats correctly.
Pros and cons
- Nitrogen-filled construction for fog and moisture resistance
- 3 inch eye relief suited to muzzleloader recoil
- Complete kit includes rings and base, not just the scope
- Base mounting screws ran too long for a Traditions Pursuit LT in at least one review
- One reviewer described the base as plastic construction
Performance notes
The scope uses multi-coated lenses and nitrogen filling for low-light clarity and fog resistance, standard construction for this price tier.
