Overview
Boxed at 16 by 7.38 by 8 inches and weighing 29 pounds, the Bessey BV-HD60 is a heavy duty clamp built for the bench rather than the jobsite.
At 29 pounds and a 16 by 7.38 by 8 inch footprint, this Bessey clamp is built for stationary or benchtop work rather than a job that needs to travel. The weight alone signals a rigid, heavy gauge frame rather than a lightweight spring clamp. The listing does not specify throat depth or maximum opening, so measure your workpiece against the stated dimensions first.
- Model BV-HD60 by Bessey
- Item weight: 29 pounds
- Dimensions: 16 x 7.38 x 8 inches
Who it's for
Fits shops that need a substantial, stationary clamp and already have bench space for it. Not a fit for anyone wanting a clamp light enough to carry between job sites.
Pros and cons
- Heavy, rigid frame at 29 pounds
- Bulky at 16 x 7.38 x 8 inches
- Maximum opening and throat depth not listed
- Not suited to portable use
Performance notes
The 29 pound weight and boxed dimensions point to a rigid frame built to resist flex under load, the trade off being that it is not something you move around often. Maximum opening and throat depth are not published, so confirm those against your material before buying.
