Overview
Not a plush toy, this flamingo hangs from strings on a T Bar and comes to life when the strings are pulled. The strings can be unhooked from the bar, so a tangle can be undone without cutting anything.
Puppet play teaches hand control, and an unhooking T Bar removes the usual frustration of knots. Marionettes still need patience, and the listing counts one piece with no stand or extra strings.
Who it's for
A bedroom or a puppet-show corner suits a child ready to work the strings. Young children who need an instant-play toy should look at a plush instead.
Pros and cons
- Dances, walks and stands on one leg
- Strings unhook from the T Bar
- Animal character puppet
- Light for small hands
- Needs practice to control
- Age listing conflicts
- One piece, no stand listed
Performance notes
Pulling the strings on the T Bar moves the legs and body, so a tilt of the bar makes the bird step and a lift makes it hop. Strings tangle over time, and the unhook design lets the owner fix knots without special tools.
