Overview
The Cosco BC030BJDZ is a forward-facing booster-style seat for kids up to 100 pounds, installed using the vehicle's seat belt rather than a harness system.
The specs point clearly to a backless booster rather than a full harnessed car seat: at 2.2 pounds and roughly 15 by 15 by 6.5 inches, it is far lighter and more compact than a convertible or infant seat, and boosters typically rely on the car's own seat belt in the forward-facing position this listing describes.
- 100 pound weight capacity
- Forward facing only
- Seat belt installation
- 2.2 pound item weight
Who it's for
Suits a child who has outgrown a harnessed car seat and is ready to ride using the car's own belt, sized up to 100 pounds. Not appropriate for an infant or younger toddler who still needs a harness.
Pros and cons
- Light at 2.2 pounds, easy to move between cars
- Compact footprint for a crowded back seat
- 100 pound capacity covers most of the booster years
- No harness, relies on the car's seat belt fit
- Not suitable for a child still needing a harnessed seat
Performance notes
Fabric covers the booster's shell, and its light 2.2 pound weight and compact footprint make it easy to move between cars or keep in a trunk for carpool use. Because it installs with the seat belt rather than LATCH or a harness, fit depends on the vehicle's belt geometry across the child's lap and shoulder.
