Overview
Not a single harmonica but a key pack, the Hohner Blues Harp Propack bundles the blues model in G, A and C. Each harp uses a wood comb and is voiced for bending and a dark, hard rocking sound.
Hohner voices the Blues Harp for hard blues playing, with consistent volume and tone and reeds that bend readily. Having G, A and C in one pack covers several jam keys at once. The listing leaves out a case and any care guidance.
Who it's for
Gigging and jamming blues players get several keys from one order, voiced for bending. Someone after a chromatic instrument or a lone starter harp should choose differently.
Pros and cons
- Covers G, A and C keys
- Wood comb for full tone
- Bends easily for blues phrasing
- Consistent volume under hard playing
- Case or pouch not listed
- Other keys sold separately
- Voiced for blues, other styles not described
Performance notes
Bending ease comes from how the reeds are set, and Hohner voices the Blues Harp to bend readily for blues phrasing. The wood comb shapes a fuller, darker tone. Volume and tone are built to hold steady when played hard on stage.
