Overview

Learn-to-skate rinks and early freestyle lessons suit this Jackson Ultima skate, with moderate support for single jumps. A rolled collar, padded lining and flex notch keep young skaters comfortable.

Young skaters get a ready-to-skate boot and blade with comfort features throughout. Moderate support will not carry them into harder jumps.

Who it's for

Beginners and early freestyle skaters suit this boot. Advancing skaters need a higher support level.

Pros and cons

Pros

Soft topline and rolled collar
Flex notch for movement

Cons

Moderate support only
Sizing chart needed

Performance notes

Support comes from the boot's moderate stiffness, with a flex notch letting the ankle bend for jumps and spins. The contoured backstrap holds the heel to keep control steady.
