Overview
Mounting a small tank under a sink to get hot water at the tap is what the Stiebel Eltron mini tank is for. It stores a small supply on standard household voltage, freeing space a larger heater would take.
Quick hot water at a hand sink or kitchenette is the reason to fit it. It saves space compared with a full tank. Only one feature bullet is given, so wattage, temperature range and fittings must come from elsewhere.
Who it's for
Office break rooms, bar sinks and remote vanities with light use are its job. Showers or high-volume use need a bigger heater.
Pros and cons
- Small tank saves space
- Runs on household voltage
- Suited to hand washing
- Suited to kitchen sinks
- Wattage not in the bullets
- Mounting details not listed
- Small supply for long draws
Performance notes
Hot water lasts as long as the stored supply, then drops until the element reheats the tank. Placing it close to the tap shortens the wait. Incoming water temperature and draw rate decide how far the supply stretches.
