Overview
Not a foam block, this Morrell target is a polypropylene bag that stops field points. It is described for high speed compound bows and crossbows, and it moves between shooting spots.
Shooters with fast bows get a bag intended for that use, in a portable build. Dimensions and a stated speed rating are missing, and the listed weight reads as a data error.
Who it's for
Compound and crossbow shooters practicing with field points in a yard will use it directly. Hunters who shoot broadheads need a broadhead-rated target.
Pros and cons
- Rated for high speed bows and crossbows
- Field point stopping
- Dimensions not listed
- Broadheads not covered
- Weight field looks wrong
Performance notes
A bag target stops an arrow by compressing fill around the tip, and a fast bow needs a denser fill than a slow one. Field points pull out freely, while broadheads can cut the cover.
