Overview
A 5 pound bag of small breed sized kibble from Fromm, this chicken recipe blends chicken, duck, lamb, whole eggs and Wisconsin cheese with added probiotics and salmon oil.
Fromm positions this as an everyday food rather than a limited ingredient diet, built around a wider ingredient list than single protein formulas, which is worth noting for dogs on restricted diets. Probiotics and salmon oil are called out specifically, aimed at digestion and coat respectively. The kibble is pellet form and sized for small breed adult dogs rather than puppies or large breeds.
- 5 pound bag, chicken recipe
- Small breed specific pellet size
- Probiotics and salmon oil formulated in
- Ranked #172 in Dry Dog Food on Amazon
Who it's for
Small breed adult dogs without a need for a limited ingredient or single protein diet. Owners managing a known salmon allergy should check the label directly, since salmon oil appears among the ingredients even though salmon is also flagged as allergen information on this listing.
Pros and cons
- Multiple protein sources including chicken, duck and lamb
- Probiotics and salmon oil included in the formula
- Kibble sized for small breed adult dogs
- Not a limited ingredient or single protein formula
- Listing flags salmon as an allergen despite salmon oil in ingredients
Performance notes
As a dry kibble, results show up over weeks of feeding rather than immediately, particularly for the coat and digestive claims tied to the salmon oil and probiotics. Because the recipe blends several proteins rather than isolating one, it is not built as an elimination diet food.
