Overview
Hohner makes the Echo Harp as a classic tremolo harmonica with two keys in one instrument. Paired reeds give the wavering folk sound, and the wood body carries both keys so a player can change key without reaching for a second harp.
Two keys and a wide range in one light instrument make it easy to carry for folk tunes, walks and family singalongs. Its voice is the shimmering tremolo kind, and the listing names no case and no care guidance.
Who it's for
Walkers, travelers and families who play folk melodies get two keys in a light body. Players who need other keys or a dry single-reed tone should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Two keys in one instrument
- Wide tonal range in each key
- Light enough to carry anywhere
- Wood body with stainless steel finish
- Only two keys available
- Case and care guidance not listed
- Folk is the only listed style
- Wood body needs care around moisture
Performance notes
Sound comes from paired reeds tuned slightly apart, which beat against each other to make the tremolo wobble. The wood body shapes the tone, and the range in each key decides which melodies fit without a key change.
