Overview
A movie fan with a disc collection and a partner who goes to bed early gets a player that sends the TV sound to a smartphone for quiet listening. It plays three-D and flat Blu-ray and DVD discs and streams apps over Wi-Fi.
Private listening through a phone is the standout, letting one person watch late without waking the house. Port details and HDMI count are not listed, so check how it connects to your setup before buying.
Who it's for
Shared homes and light sleepers get real use from the private sound feature. Enthusiasts wiring a full surround system will want a listing with complete output details.
Pros and cons
- Plays 3D Blu-ray discs
- Streaming apps over Wi-Fi
- Private listening through a smartphone
- NFC for quick phone pairing
- HDMI port count not listed
- Full HD output, no UHD discs
- Few file formats listed
Performance notes
Disc picture is set by the Full HD output, with Blu-ray carrying more detail than DVD. Private listening depends on the Wi-Fi link to the phone, so a weak signal can cause drops. App streaming quality follows your internet speed.
