Overview
The Vanguard Endeavor XF 60A is a center-focus spotting scope with a 60mm objective lens and a listed 45x magnification, built with an aluminum housing in a green finish.
Field of view is given as 2 degrees rather than the feet-at-distance figure common on similar listings, and the scope measures about 14.1 x 7.7 x 4.7 inches. A weight figure is also attached to this listing but is far outside what a scope this size would plausibly weigh, so it's left out here rather than repeated as fact.
- 45x magnification through a 60mm objective
- Center focus system
- Aluminum housing in green
- Field of view listed at 2 degrees
Who it's for
Suits shooters or birders who want a fixed 45x view through a 60mm objective and prefer center focus over a dual-speed or helical system. Less suited to anyone needing a zoom eyepiece to adjust power on the fly.
Pros and cons
- 60mm objective balances light gathering and size
- Center focus for straightforward operation
- Fixed 45x magnification, no zoom range
- Weight figure in the listing appears unreliable and isn't included here
Performance notes
A 60mm objective sits in the middle of this scope lineup for light gathering, smaller than the 80mm and 85mm models here but larger than the 40mm compact option, which generally means a brighter image than the smallest scopes without the bulk of the largest ones.
