Overview
Hawaiian Tropic's Dark Tanning Lotion is a moisturizing lotion meant for use while tanning outdoors, packaged in an 8 fl oz bottle with a fruity scent. The spec data lists no SPF value for this formula.
The category label on this listing says self tanner, but nothing in the title or specs points to a sunless, DHA-based formula. Dark tanning lotions in this line are traditionally worn in the sun to help develop color, and the moisturizing, fruity-scented formula here fits that pattern rather than an indoor self-tanning product.
- Moisturizing tanning lotion
- Suitable for all skin types including sensitive
- Fruity scent
- 8 fl oz bottle
Who it's for
Fits people who tan outdoors and want a moisturizing lotion for that routine. It is not a substitute for sunscreen, since no SPF figure appears in the available data, so anyone needing sun protection should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Labeled suitable for sensitive skin
- No SPF value listed
- Single 8oz size
Performance notes
The formula is built around moisturizing rather than active sun protection, and the label marks it suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin. The fruity scent is a standard addition to this style of tanning lotion rather than a functional ingredient.
