Overview
Rigging leaders eats through swivels fast, so this 30-pack of 50lb-rated metal barrel swivels restocks a tackle box in one order.
Swivels in this strength class sit in the middle of the range, sturdy enough for bass and light inshore work without the bulk of heavier saltwater ratings. Buying a 30-pack means a single order covers a season of leader changes rather than replacing swivels one at a time.
- 30-pack of barrel swivels
- 50 lb rated strength
- Metal construction
- About 9 grams total weight
Who it's for
Anglers who rig their own leaders and want a stock of mid-strength swivels on hand. Not intended for ultralight panfish rigs or heavy offshore trolling.
Pros and cons
- 30-pack keeps plenty of spares on hand
- 50 lb rating covers moderate to light inshore use
- Lightweight at about 9 grams total
- No ball-bearing swivel detail given
- Single strength rating, no assortment for varied rigs
Performance notes
The metal barrel swivel design reduces line twist caused by spinning lures or bait, and the 50 lb rating covers moderate freshwater through light inshore use. At about 9 grams for the pack, they add negligible weight to a rig.
