Overview
Screwing directly onto a 20-100 lb propane cylinder, the Original Triple Tank Top heater radiates 10,000 to 45,000 BTU/hr across three burner heads, making it one of Mr. Heater's higher-output portable options for garages, job sites and campsites.
- 10,000 to 45,000 BTU per hour output
- Hi-med-low regulator with three burner heads
- Mounts on 20-100 lb propane cylinders
- Three-point tip-over safety shut-off
Who it's for
Garages, workshops, construction sites and campsites with a large propane cylinder already on hand are where this heater belongs. Small enclosed or indoor spaces without good ventilation are not a fit, given the open flame and BTU output.
Pros and cons
- Can blow out or struggle to light in wind
- Ignition and shutoff valves reported stiff to push
- Only three coarse heat steps, no fine control without adjusting the tank valve

Frequently asked questions
What size propane tank does the Mr. Heater Triple Tank Top F242915 need?

Does the Triple Tank Top heater work well in windy conditions?
Reports are mixed; some owners use it outdoors without issue while at least one had the burners blow out and fail to restart in wind.
