Overview
Securing a storeroom or utility door, this Schlage ND series lock uses a cylindrical body with the Rhodes lever design. The storeroom function holds the door locked from the outside while the inside lever always lets people out.
A commercial rating and a fire door listing make it usable on rated doors, and the interchangeable core style suits sites that rekey often. The core itself is not mentioned as included, so confirm what arrives in the box.
Who it's for
Facilities teams outfitting back of house doors with a commercial storeroom function and a core system they can rekey. Home owners and light duty users do not need this rating.
Pros and cons
- Commercial ANSI grade
- Fire door listing
- Cast zinc body
- Mounting hardware and instructions included
- Core inclusion not stated
- Backset not listed
- Handing not given
- Listing mentions app control, likely a data error
Performance notes
The lock holds the outside lever fixed in storeroom mode, so entry needs a key from the interchangeable core while exit stays free. The cast zinc body and commercial rating govern wear, and a correct door prep decides how smoothly the latch works.
