Overview
At nearly 109 lb with an 18-inch driver, the Rockville RBG18S is a large-format subwoofer rated at 1000 watts and connects via RCA.
It is filed under TV & Home Theater, but its scale tells a different story: an 18-inch driver, triple-digit weight, and a clip-on mount typically used to stack a top speaker on a subwoofer pole all point toward PA or DJ-style rigs rather than a living-room setup. Anyone expecting a compact under-TV subwoofer should look elsewhere in the lineup.
- Rockville RBG18S, 18-inch 1000-watt subwoofer
- Clip-on mount for pole-stacking
- Dimensions about 22 x 24.25 x 26.5 in, weight 108.85 lb
Who it's for
Suits someone assembling a high-output sound system for a large room, event space, or PA-style rig who wants a stackable 18-inch subwoofer. Not a fit for anyone wanting a subwoofer that tucks discreetly next to a TV stand.
Pros and cons
- 18-inch driver rated at 1000 watts for high-output bass
- Clip-on mount for stacking in a speaker rig
- Nearly 109 lb, not easy to move or reposition
- RCA-only connectivity, no wireless or digital input listed
- No purchases recorded in the past month in available data
Performance notes
An 18-inch driver at 1000 watts is built to move a large volume of air, which generally means deeper, higher-output bass suited to sizable rooms rather than close-quarters listening. It connects via RCA rather than any wireless or digital input.
