Overview
Stainless steel, dishwasher safe, and built to outlast a glass French press: the Secura SFP-34DS is a 34-ounce (1 liter) coffee press that ships with two extra stainless mesh filter screens.
- 34oz (1 liter) capacity
- 304 stainless steel, inside and out
- Two extra mesh filter screens
- Cool-touch handle and knob
Pros and cons
- Stainless build won't shatter like glass
- Two extra filter screens included
- Holds heat well for a slow cup
- Slightly harder to clean than glass presses
- 34oz falls short of a full drip pot
- Heat retention drops in cold rooms
Performance notes
Two extra stainless mesh screens are included, and stacking them is the method several owners use to filter out fine grounds with a medium-fine grind. The stainless body holds heat well through a slow cup of coffee, though it's insulated rather than vacuum-sealed, so it will still cool over an extended sit, faster in a cold room. At 34 ounces it holds close to what a standard drip pot makes, not quite a full pot by owner accounts.
