Overview
The PORTER-CABLE PCE6435 is a corded router that runs on 120 volts and weighs about 5 pounds, with no battery required. Its blended material construction and moderate weight target handheld edge and trim routing.
Listed as battery: No and powered at 120 volts, this router plugs into standard household current rather than running on a battery pack. At about 5 pounds it sits on the lighter side for routers, which helps with one-handed control during edge profiling. Power output, bit capacity, and speed range are not included in the listing data.
- 120 volt corded operation
- No battery required
- About 5 pound weight
- Model PCE6435
Who it's for
Fits woodworkers who want a corded router for edge profiles, laminate trimming, or light routing tasks and prefer not to manage battery runtime. Buyers needing power or RPM specs to compare against other routers should look those up separately.
Pros and cons
- No battery runtime limit
- Moderate weight for handheld control
- Requires a power outlet
- RPM and power specs not listed
Performance notes
Running on a 120 volt cord removes battery runtime as a factor, so the tool can be used continuously without recharging. The roughly 5 pound weight favors handheld control for edge work over larger plunge routing jobs. Speed and horsepower figures are not part of the listing, so matching it to demanding routing tasks needs a manufacturer spec check.
