Overview
Riding cymbals with a clear, bright ping is where these nylon tipped Vic Firth sticks earn their place. They follow a classic thicker design in USA hickory, built for durability in rock, band and practice settings.
Cymbal clarity is the reason to choose nylon, giving a brighter, more articulate sound than wood. Extra thickness adds durability and volume. Some drummers prefer the warmer sound of a wood tip.
Who it's for
Rock players, marching or school band drummers and anyone who practices hard. Light jazz players will want a thinner stick.
Pros and cons
- Bright cymbal sound
- Durable nylon tip
- Thicker for more volume
- Heavier than light models
- Tips can come loose over time
- Pair count not stated
Performance notes
A nylon tip produces a brighter, more defined cymbal ping and resists chipping. Hickory absorbs shock for comfortable playing. Added thickness raises weight and volume.
